Hi, there. I'm Julia.

I'm a software engineer and product designer creating publishing tools and experiences that support the news industry and empower community change.

Currently the Engineering Manager for Editorial Experimentation at McClatchy, I was previously the Director of Product & Technology at the Insitute for Nonprofit News and a Knight-Mozilla OpenNews Fellow with the Center for Investigative Reporting. I've also worked for Mother Jones, Oxide Design, Gallup News, and the Omaha World-Herald.
